WESTABOU MONTESSORI SCHOOL

Primary, also known as the "Children's House" has one classroom, Sage. This preschool classroom is made up of mixed ages of 3-6 year olds. Children under five stay for a half day program (8-12), and children 5 and older stay full day (8-3). Primary classrooms are focused on independence or "practical life skills," a rich literacy curriculum, and hands-on mathematics. They also have a strong focus on geography, science, and a farm-to-school garden curriculum. The primary Montessori curriculum goes far beyond traditional school standards.
